Arizona Auto Insurance Coverage

Arizona Auto InsuranceWe all want cheap auto insurance in Arizona. And even though Arizona has a Financial Responsibility Law, if you have a decent driving record you can still get cheap Arizona auto insurance. The Financial Responsibility Law basically means all licensed Arizona drivers need to show proof of enough money or auto insurance to cover damages in the event of an accident. Under this law, drivers must have at least Arizona Bodily Injury Auto Insurance Coverage and Arizona Property Damage Insurance Coverage or they can choose to get the combined Arizona Bodily Injury Auto Insurance and Property Damage Coverage.

Arizona Bodily Injury Auto Insurance Coverage is a liability insurance which pays for medical expenses, pain and suffering, cost and lost wages. It does not cover the medical expenses, pain and suffering or lost wages for the driver that is responsible for the accident. The State of Arizona requires minimum bodily injury auto insurance coverage of $15,000 for the death or injury of one person in a single accident and $30,000 for the death or injury for two or more people from one accident.

Arizona Property Damage Insurance Coverage is also an Arizona liability insurance which will pay for the damage to property including buildings, vehicles, fences and road side damage caused by the liable party. And just like Arizona Bodily Injury Auto Insurance Coverage, it will not pay for damages to the vehicle of the liable party. The minimum requirement Arizona Property Damage Insurance Coverage is $10,000.

Arizona Bodily Injury Auto Insurance and Property Damage Coverage, combined single limits, is coverage for both bodily injury and property damages. For the combined single limits, the State of Arizona requires a minimum limit of $40,000.

Since the listed bodily injury and property damage insurance coverages are the legal minimum, most Arizona Auto Insurance customers choose additional coverages which are optional, the uninsured motorist coverage and the underinsured motorist coverage. The uninsured motorist coverage will pay for the lost wage, medical expenses and pain and suffering in case the liable driver is uninsured, in case it is a hit and run or a miss and run accident. The underinsured motorist coverage on the other hand will pay for the medical expenses, pain and suffering and lost wages if the at fault drivers insurance is not enough to cover these expenses.
